5 Things You Didn't Know About David Lemiso, Executive Director of the Kilgoris Project

The Kilgoris Project (TKP) is a Kenya-based NGO dedicated to the health, education, and wellbeing of Maasai children in Kilgoris, Kenya. Thanks to TKP's outstanding work, children in the Kilgoris community have access to education, hot meals, and health checkups. We have partnered with TKP to expand their reach, and have most recently collaborated on a sustainable tree farm project, which will provide an ongoing in-country revenue source to help keep TKP's programs operating in perpetuity. That said, none of this outstanding work would be possible without David's leadership- learn more about him below!

1. WHAT ARE YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT?

I am passionate about many things. I think that is one characteristic of me personally. I’m passionate about my faith. And I get excited when I see people’s lives improving. I’m so excited to hear about people changing their minds and deciding to have hope.

2. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WHEN YOU AREN'T WORKING OR VOLUNTEERING?

Wow. This is tough because I use my time outside of work to volunteer as a pastor and serve my community. That’s what I enjoy most. There isn’t much time to spare outside of that, but it’s so fulfilling. I also like looking at things that are broken and trying to fix them. I like to see how things work, like little gadgets. And I also like going to the top of the hill with my cows at the end of a long day. It’s so peaceful.
