Have you ever had an amazing teacher?

PaperSeed is dedicated to the importance of education and teaching. So this blogger was intrigued by Nicholas Kristof’s recent editorial, “The Value of Teachers”. According to a recent study by economists at Harvard and Columbia, having a good fourth grade teacher makes a student more likely to attend college and less likely to become pregnant as a teen.

But the biggest benefit? Students with a good fourth grade teacher go on to earn, on average, $25,000 more than their peers with mediocre or poor teachers! The full article is here on the NY Times website.
